Thomas French


A Pulitzer prizewinning journalist. Worked for St. Petersburg Times (Tampa Bay Times) for 27 years. French’s work has set the standard for a generation of reporters. Selected for Indiana Journalism Hall of Fame. Teaches narrative reporting and writing at Indiana University, Poynter Insitute and at writing conferences around the world.

Aside from his newspaper work, French is also the author of four nonfiction books, most recently The Girl Who Was Born Too Soon, a story told by Thomas and his wife Kelley (also an award-winning journalist). Their daughter Juniper French was born four months early. The book will be released in September.
